And that’s a wrap! After the big grand finale at the weekend, our Midland’s Next Top Model is over for another year, but it’s been an incredible few weeks for our finalists and this year’s winner…
After two full days of casting on the mall over Easter, the huge number of applicants were whittled down to just 10 semi finalists. Valerie Oyiki was chosen as our Facebook favourite and was joined by Harriet Kenny, Yvonne Harney, Zoe Coady and Megan Rabbitte in our final 5 who took part in the finale on Saturday.
Between hair and make up appointments, outfit fittings and catwalk rehearsals, our five finalists had a day’s work done even before they joined Roz Purcell and the team from Catwalk Modelling Agency on stage on Saturday afternoon for our four Spring/Summer fashion shows.
One by one the girls took to the catwalk at each show, in front of huge crowds, modelling some of this season’s biggest trends from Born and Vero Moda. In between shows they had a few moments to chat backstage and get some industry advice from Roz and the team from Catwalk Modelling Agency, which included previous Midland’s Next Top Model winners, Darren and Katie.
All five finalists really impressed on the catwalk, showing great talent and confidence, but there can only be one winner and this year it was Zoe Coady. Zoe has won a year long modelling contract with Catwalk Modelling Agency and a €500 shopping spree in Athlone Towncentre.
Previous winner’s of Midland’s Next Top Model have enjoyed great success after the competition and continue to represent Catwalk Modelling Agency and Athlone Towncentre so expect to see a lot more of Zoe in the near future!
We had a huge response to our FREE Draw on the day and the lucky winner of the €250 voucher is Anne Reid from Ballykeeran. Congrats Anne and happy shopping! We will be announcing the winners of our outfit giveaway in the next few days.
