Rozanna took some time out to answer some quick questions for us in Athlone Towncentre in advance of our Midlands Next Top Model casting day this Sat 12th May!

Did you always want to be in the modelling industry?

I guess in away modelling always interested me when I was growing up but I kind of thought of it as a fantasy job that every girl wanted to be a model,I didn’t really ever think I would get to do it! I got involved with the miss universe back in 2009 when i represented Lillie bordellos in miss universe irelandand came 1st runner up, after a year of modelling after that and gaining more experience I tried my luck again and luckily I did cause I won

Where you nervous when you went for Miss. Universe the first time?

Yes of course i was i don’t think it would be natural not to have some nerves, but there is a difference between having nerves and letting them affect you! As you work more and gain more experience its more that exciting feeling that takes over than nerves!

Have you any tips for our aspiring models coming to the open casting day on May 12th?

Yes Lots! Firstly, dealing with the physical aspect your appearance is of course a huge part. LESS IS ALWAYS MORE! even with style better to dress simple and chic, minimal make up and tan. A blank canvas is always better to see , so let the natural beauty out! on the other side of the spectrum just be yourselves, i know a lot of the girls will be nervous and there hard to shake but confidence is the one thing that will realy shine in a room of beautiful girls! Also make sure your getting plenty of sleep!

From your experience what is the best advice you would give someone new to the modelling industry?

Work hard it pays off, also take the advice that Is given to you from the people who know the industry ,they are only trying to help you to reach your full potential!

I love shopping, so you will often find me in River Island, Oasis, Zara, Topshop…. I love them all!

What I love about May is apart from being my birthday, it’s also officially time for a new wardrobe! In theory (fingers crossed) the rain goes away and up sprouts gorgeous colourful flowers. This is luckily not just in nature’s world, but also in the fashion world… so say goodbye to your wet look leggings and hello to brand new looks full of vibrancy and fun!

Yes, one trend that seems to recur year after year is floral; This season pretty much anything goes… from bold and bright florals as seen on the DVF catwalk, to soft blurred watercolour prints at Emilio Pucci; quirky statement floral at Christopher Kane to pretty adornments as seen at Chanel. The floral trend is absolutely inescapable this Summer!

Erdem is always on my wish list… known for his love of floral print every season he relentlessly finds new ways to reinvent an already seen trend. This season it’s floral head to toe, teaming a floral blouse with an equally floral skirt sounds like it’s too much… when actually it’s oh so right. Warehouse are doing some really cool matching shirt and short combos to try this trend, and then at least you have separate pieces to work into the rest of your wardrobe.

The 3D flower embellishment is huge news in fashion since Louis Vuitton went pastel crazy this season. Delicate organza embroidered flowers and floral cut-out motifs decorated his uber-girly designs, and not only did Kate Moss steal the show in his catwalk collection but every stylish celebrity worth their salt has been spotted in the organza layered creations since. Another designer doing double-trouble floral is relative newcomer Mary Katranzou… Petal Clashing as I like to call it is how she clashes different floral designs to create a new and unique design. But this is also achievable on the high-street by getting a little creative, and being stylishly brave.

Zara, H&M and Monsoon have been channeling the LV look on the highstreet with their very own versions of these delicate designs. So if you fancy something more subdued in the floral stakes then check out those stores.

So here is my pick of the bunch…

Zara have gone floral crazy this season, but luckily they are also catering for the less adventurous among you with a monochrome option such as this delicious blazer for only 69.95.

Or if you are attending a garden party this season why not go for this adorable strapless dress; the gathering detail and nipped in waist makes it super flattering on the body and you can draw even more attention to the waist by team a contrasting belt.

For those less daring to try this trend, why not just add a small touch with a statement floral shoe like this one from River Island.

Pretty much every fashion store you walk into in Athlone Towncentre is littered with some form of floral lushness… whether you opt for full bloom in Oasis, demure daisies in Coast or pretty petals in Monsoon it’s almost impossible to avoid being flowery this summer; so go infuse your wardrobe with some petal power!

Got a wedding to go this season? Whether it’s a formal evening do or abroad wedding bash here are some great styles ideas for wedding do’s.

Monochrome – Monochrome is always a winning choice for wedding. This year it is combined with feminine geometric details or lace. This Coast black and white fitted dress will make you dazzle. Ultra elegant, keep the accessories in monochrome or got for red such as red shoes and bag.
