COVID-19 Updates from Athlone Towncentre

In light of the current Covid-19 situation, Athlone Towncentre is operating with a limited number of  essential stores.   In line with the latest government advice and the Roadmap for Reopening Business & Society Framework, the following stores are open for business in Athlone Towncentre:

  • Harvest Homemade (Takeaway Only)
  • James McBride Butchers (Mon-Sat)
  • Marks & Spencer

As part of our commitment to preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus, Athlone Towncentre has taken a number of steps towards safeguarding our staff & customers. Our team are constantly monitoring and reviewing our practices in line with best practice:

  • We are introducing a walkway system around the mall to faciliate social distancing.  Please follow the directional arrows on the mall on arrival.
  • Sanitiser stations are available at all entrances, lift lobbies and toilet lobbies.
  • Our cleaning schedule has been amended to focus on key touch points and risk areas.
  • Our Information Desk remains closed. You can still purchase gift cards online here or check your gift card balance online here
  • Compliance with social distancing is being faciliated in all stores which remain open for business as well as on the shopping mall.
  • All upcoming mall activities have been postponed indefinately.
  • Contactless payments are preferred in stores where possible.
  • M&S have introduced designated shopping times for older, vulnerable and front-line shoppers.  They have also closed their clothing & home departments and remain open for grocery only.
