Last week I had the amazing opportunity to team up with Athlone Towncentre, what a fabulous opportunity for me and if you follow me on Snapchat or Instagram you may have seen some snippets of the day already. I had so much fun!
With so many special occasions around the corner, such as communions and confirmations, occasion outfit ideas are on the top of everyone’s agenda.
I have gotten so many emails and requests over the past few weeks from readers looking for outfit inspiration for such events, so the timing for my trip Athlone Towncentre could not have come at a better time.
There is no doubt about it, we ALL struggle when it comes to finding that perfect occasion wear outfit, we all want to look and feel our absolute best on that special day and not spend a fortune while doing it!!
I hope some of these gorgeous looks from ATC will give you lots of inspiration for your special occasion.
When styling looks I also think it is incredibly important to finish off your looks on that day, with matching shoes and accessories. Some of the looks I was able to complete for you in store and others I have just shown you pretty dresses that you can add accessories to.
These first looks are all from Oasis in Athlone Towncentre and feature a range of pretty dresses and jumpsuits, accessories and shoes. I feel Oasis really is a one stop shop!
The second shop I visited was Warehouse in Athlone Towncentre where I picked out three beautiful looks. The first one was a stunning polka dot culotte jumpsuit (€77). Polka dots are a huge trend this season and would be a great piece to take you through many occasions for the season ahead.
The second look I chose was a printed culotte jumpsuit (€84), this is something a little different for me but I loved the bright colours, the belted waist and the sleeve and it even has a beautiful keyhole back. I think this would be a perfect piece for a summer wedding or BBQ.
The last piece I opted for was this stunningly beautiful powder blue dress (€84). I really do believe this is a dress you would have for years to come. If you follow me on snapchat you will have heard me say that I also think it would be fabulous as an alternative bridesmaid dress too!
The next shop I stopped off in was River Island, one of my favourites! Here I styled three very different looks, but each every bit as cute.
The monochrome culotte jumpsuit (€87) is certainly a dressy look and would take you to many occasions from weddings to communions and confirmations. I kept the look simple styling it with black barely there sandals (€47) and matching clutch (€24)
The next outfit is probably one suited to an evening event and sure who doesn’t love a pop of pink! This look can be styled in many different ways and they are great separates to have in your wardrobe. (Skirt €45, T-shirt €20, shoes €47)
Look number three, I just adore. Again these are all separate pieces and a wonderful alternative outfit to a dress or jumpsuit for your special occasions and check out those bell sleeves on that patterned duster (€87), its to die for!
The fourth stop in ATC for me was Vila Clothing where I found loads of occasion wear pieces, from skirts and jackets, to tops and dresses, all at incredibly good value. Here are my two favourite looks; first I picked out this neutral day time look with beautiful blush and cream tones. These little leather skirts (€34.99) are so soft and come in a wide range of colours and the simple spring coat (€59.99) would dress up any look.
The next look was this gorgeous floral crinkled wrap dress (€39.99), the colours in this dress are sublime and the fact that you could wear this dress all day and wouldn’t look creased, for me is a winner! I would style this dress with a beautiful pair of coral sandals and matching bag and you are good to go!
My second last stop was Selected Femme, sometimes I feel this store can be slightly over looked but the quality of their pieces is fantastic. I picked out two fabulous floral dresses, which are right on trend for SS18. Both of these dresses would be perfect for those special occasions that are around the corner and are both items you could pull out time and time again.
Lastly I visited H&M, I find this store really great for both dressy and casual pieces for incredible prices. In ATC I picked out three dressy but very different looks.
The first option is this beautiful beige suit which I know would be a brilliant option for any event. (Jacket €27.99, pants €19.99). I teamed the suit with a simple white v-neck as this takes away from the office look. Suits are huge trend for SS18 and actually my next post is all about power dressing so watch this space.
Next up is a pastel green pleated skirt (€34.99), teamed with a white v-neck blouse (€14.99), so simple yet very elegant. I would complete this look with a nude barely there sandal, matching clutch and beautiful pair of statement tassel earrings.
The last look from H&M (€44.99) certainly has a boho feel to it, with those large fluted sleeves, midi length and floral print and for those of you that know me will know that this look is right up my street!
I absolutely love Athlone Towncentre, if you have never been you need to add it to your list. There is such a wide range of shops and what I have shown is just a small selection of what is available. It really is a shopper’s paradise.
I hope you all enjoyed this blog post and all of my chosen looks.
