Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre is seeking applications for the position of Part Time Marketing & Administrative Assistant.  This position offers circa 15-20 hours over 2-3 days per week. Previous experience in a marketing role is essential.

This role will involve the following:

• Assist with the formulation and execution of centre marketing campaigns
• Liaise with on site retailers. Creating and maintaining clear lines of communication to assist with the implementation of centre marketing campaigns
• Drive local community engagement
• Update the centre website (WordPress)
• Provide support with content creation for social media
• Create suitable TikTok content
• Preparation of monthly reports
• General marketing & administrative support for the Centre Manager

The successful candidate should have the following:

• Previous marketing experience – essential
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Good working knowledge of MS Office packages
• Experience in using WordPress
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Fluency in English

This is an in-person position. The role will involve occasional weekend availability for centre events and promotions, but predominately the hours will be midweek and split over 2-3 days. Flexibility regarding working days will be required in order to align with centre marketing activities.

• Focus staff on the importance of quality relationships with internal and external customers. Ensure accountability of staff in building a repeat customer base by providing all customers with unparalleled spirited service.
• Complete daily/weekly store walkthroughs; evaluate product performance, pricing, staff service levels and inventory levels.
• Communicate to the Store Manager what is driving sales and discuss any issues/priorities, to develop strategies to maximize business. Ensure they are weekly visual presentation action plans.
• Analyse store level reports and create action plans to improve results.
• Assist with the manpower planning, identification, recruitment, interviewing and hiring processes, Recruit store personnel with a broad range of perspectives, experiences and backgrounds.
• Work with the Store Manager to build bench strength for key positions, including possible successors.
• Participate in weekly management meetings alongside other staff meetings.
• Clearly communicate to staff: store and individual sales goals and other key performance expectations; sales results and provide guidance on what is needed to improve performance.
• Providing a great customer journey and achieving exemplary mystery shop results.

This is a permanent position offering 39 hours per week. This position is based in the H&M Athlone. For this position we will require 7 days flexibility, including weekends.
