After a long two year Covid enforced absence, the RTE All Ireland Drama Festival makes a welcome return to Athlone from the 5th to the 13th of May marking the return of live performances to the Dean Crowe Theatre and Arts Centre.

With its roots dating back to 1953, it has become the longest running cultural festival in Athlone with 9 consecutive nights of award winning amateur drama.

Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre is delighted to support the event as a sponsor with Centre Manager Shirley Delahunt outlining ‘We are delighted to see the return to live performances this year for the RTE All Ireland Drama Festival after a two year break.  It’s always a hugely entertaining festival which provides Athlone with a unique platform to showcase all that it has to offer to visiting groups and audiences.  We are looking forward to some great entertainment in the Dean Crowe over the course of the festival as well as enjoying the fringe festival events’

To celebrate the launch of the 2022 festival, Athlone Towncentre & the RTE All Ireland Drama Festival have teamed up on a fantastic competition which includes 2 Show Tickets, €100 Athlone Towncentre Gift Card & a Dinner Voucher.  Stay tuned to the All Ireland Drama Festival Facebook or Instagram pages for details.
