YSS is a leading provider of facility services across Ireland. We are now recruiting for an experienced Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at Athlone Towncentre Shopping Centre.

This is a hands-on supervisory role in a busy retail environment, requiring proven experience, excellent initiative, and the ability to balance leadership with cleaning duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and work alongside a team of cleaning operatives
• Carry out daily cleaning tasks to the highest standards
• Operate, maintain, and safely handle cleaning machinery and equipment
• Allocate daily duties and ensure all tasks are completed on time
• Liaise closely with the Centre Manager and YSS Operations Management
• Manage rotas, staff absences, and shift cover when required
• Conduct regular inspections and quality checks, reporting issues promptly
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and site procedures

Requirements (Essential)

• Proven experience as a Cleaning Supervisor (retail/shopping centre experience desirable)
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work on your own initiative and lead by example
• Experience operating and maintaining cleaning machinery
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends if required
• Solid understanding of Health & Safety standards
